Dr. Edward Murray has been practicing dentistry for over 27 years, making his start in Pennsylvania. Each passing year, he takes two to three times the amount of continuing education necessary to renew his license, showing his commitment to providing top-of-the-line care for each one of our patients. Dr. Murray knows firsthand just how lifechanging high-quality dentistry can be, and you can learn more about what brought him to our office below.
Dr. Murray suffered from chronic earaches as a child and went through years of unsuccessful sinus treatments. As a teenager, his dentist diagnosed him with a bite misalignment that was causing TMJ and muscle dysfunction. He was referred to an orthodontist, who was eventually able to correct his bite and stop his ear pain. Dr. Murray decided he wanted to be able to help people like this as well, which eventually led him to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Murray received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and then went on to dental school at the University of Maryland at Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, he attended a General Practice Residency at the Reading Community General Hospital.
For the next three years, he practiced in Pennsylvania and Maryland, working with several doctors and specialists who helped him refine his skills. He continues to do so by maintaining memberships in a number of professional organizations:
Dr. Murray and his wife have two daughters currently attending college, and in his spare time, he enjoys working in the yard, going to car shows, motorcycling, and fishing.
